FAQS

Got a question? We’re here to help.

Yes. Raw biochar should be inoculated before application.  To do this, it should be mixed with organic material, like compost or soaked in some type of inoculant such as a liquid fertiliser, liquid tea or worm tea.  Biochar is a perfect soil improver to work with, and enhance your current soil conditions as it binds the nutrients together.

The biochar just needs to be moist to use. Apply as much fluid as is required to achieve this.  Allow to drain for an hour or so before using.

A pinch of the biochar mix at your plant root zone is enough – a little, goes a long way!

Apply the biochar sparingly in amount and ideally apply under the seed pod or within the root zone.  Dad’s Farm Tip – a little goes a long way!

Yes. Biochar helps to aerate the grass to keep moss at bay! It also holds on to nutrients when applied so it’s there ready to go to action, when the grass calls for it.

Dad’s Farm Biochar has no maximum shelf-life, offering great value for money and long-lasting carbon goodness.

Yes, CharGrow is ideal for potted houseplants. CharGrow, is our unique carbon rich “ready-to-go” biochar product inoculated with our own brewed home tea containing beneficial micro-organisms, microbial foods, mycorrhizal fungi and seaweed which will produce healthier plants, abundant crops with minimal replenishment required.

As Dad’s Farm Wood Vinegar is a natural pesticide, there is no minimum wait-time after spraying before you can eat the produce, provided that the produce itself is fine to eat.

After application, continue to monitor the fungus and black-fly situation.  If the issue has remedied, then you can stop applying the Wood Vinegar.   If it hasn’t or the issue returns then we would recommend that Dad’s Farm Wood Vinegar be re-applied.
